How much cricket is hard sometimes??

  • Sachin was selfish on that day??
  • It was fair with Virendar Sehwag??
  • The leadership of Rahul Dravid??

Multan test 2004 Day 2

The over was 161th of the Indian inning. Yuvraj Singh was batting on the crease, He was facing Imran Farhat in that over,

There were 2 runs in that over. Sometimes, Things will not go in your way, Does not matter how much you are trying, India was trying to accelerate their inning, the whole Pakistan stands were silent, But Indians were very much on high, why they would not, History was made, Virendar Sehwag hit the 1st triple century, The history was made, It was a historic day for Indian cricket and for Individual players too. But God had some other plans too. I am not saying the bigger than Sehwag’s inning but one another moment was yet to come. Yes the moment which was not expected by anybody, and here it came

Imran Farhat to Yuvraj Singh, OUT

Yuvraj Singh c&b Imran Farhat on 59

It was a very good effort from Yuvi, really batted well with the strike rate of 88.9

And

India.

Declared

And the whole nation was divide into two categories, like the political parties, like that was not wicket, that was the parliament election

Why??

Because Sachin Tendulkar was on 194, just six run short of his double hundred.

Sachin was selfish on that day??

Was it necessary ??? It was 2nd day of the test match, it was not batting paradise wicket, I was watching that match on the television, maybe on one side it was 40 or 30 over old now, Reverse swing was there,Sachin was not making run very quickly, If Yuvraj Singh did not contribute, it could be a different story, And of course, actually the Sehwag inning was the turning point.

So Rahul Dravid when Sachin was batting, he wanted to make a statement, maybe not initially but then things around him make the thing more difficult and more towards what he was thinking in his mind. many people said Sachin played many innings for himself, Well I don’t know about initial period because initially when you will.go to the dressing room, I think everyone does this especially when you are not secure àbout your place in the team. And in test cricket, you can do it easily because you have time.a lot of time. You can manage this thing. but later half I don’t think he played for himself

There are so many innings from where we can see this :

One inning which I remember or our generation will remember is 175 vs Australia.

India was chasing 348

See how Sachin played there

In one match he played with so much pain in his back vs Pakistan in 1998 or correct me please if I am wrong

and

It was Sachin Tendulkar who spoke openly about Greg chappel.

And how many runs were left

6 runs

Believe me, my favourite and all-time favourite is Rahul Dravid, I am not against him and you will see easily on this site later but according to me Sachin Tendulkar was not selfish especially on that particular day and he was not playing slow. But the thing is In India we compare too much and one major thing happened before As I mentioned earlier was 309 historic inning, so maybe it goes against God.of cricket.

Well it was unfair with God or It was true leadership, we will. look later in the article but one thing for sure

Sachin was not playing with selfishness

Well but everyone these days praised that knock of 309 but really you guys should know what half of media and people did on that day ??

Improper Hospitality for Multan’s Sultan

When Sehwag hit the 300 in Multan it was the historic day for all cricket nation. After the day 2 play went off,as usual, the l press box was ready for the press conference, Everyone was ready for the Nazwavgarh’s Nawab, but when Indian press box was ready, but Alongside with Virendar Sehwag Sachin Tendulkar came into the press conference, The first question was asked not to Sehwag but to Sachin Tendulkar. Yes, As the humbleness of Sehwag, he never complained about it.yeah after that match or till now we praise Virendar Sehwag a lot, we should be but on that moment the approach of media was not up to mark. I think Sehwag should be a priority there Instead of Sachin Tendulkar 194. Sometimes media goes so much far. I am a big fan of television media but sometimes I do not why they amaze me with their tactics. And what happened after it??

Nothing

The relation between Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar remains the same. Ok, there were some things according to many media houses but Truth is there was not so much. Rahul Dravid wanted to make a statement. He made. Sachin had to suffer. He suffered

So on that day, Virendar Sehwag faced the same thing which we all often faces off in life,

Sometimes we do a thing  will full passionate and give more than 100% but somehow people seek a negative point to talk about us. To criticize us, To blame us. This is what Life about. Our concentration should be on our process. Virendar Sehwag played that inning for the country nor for the name and fame, That is why he was not much disturbed by the

Improper hospitality

Here comes the most important topic of the article

The leadership of Rahul Dravid??

There is very difficult to live a life with a good man image. Yes, he earned that image but to maintain it, iTs a very hard thing. It’s very easy to say inspirational things about rules, principles of life or game, to say things on social media.but to make them, in reality, is all different  thing altogether.

Sometimes you win

Sometimes you lose

Sometimes you get appreciation

Sometimes you get criticism

I think balance in these things is the key

Too much nice hurt

Too much bad also

Well, Rahul Dravid was stand by captain in that match because of Dada(Saurav Ganguly) injured in the series. And we know Rahul Dravid how dedicated he is for the Indian cricket even today. So, he wanted to make the statement. He told the players by this decision that look you cannot be bigger than the game. In news one day I was watching a cricket conclave and saying This player is bigger than cricket. But I do not agree. Cricket is a different thing. we should not compare these type of things for our time pass  or for any other thing. According to me, cricket is bigger than a player. Any sport is bigger than an individual. Any organisation is bigger than the worker. These are principles, you can debate on it but you can not avoid it. So on that day If someone is thinking Rahul Dravid made the wrong decision, you can say this.everyone has their own point of view, but the man had and still has no bad intention inside. He has nothing against Tendulkar, nothing against cricket. According to him, it was the right decision from the team point of view. He has not any personal agenda to be fair.

So no question upon Rahul’s Mentorship.

Conclusion

It was a very famous test. In this test match, we saw all the things

And the three important aspects which I mentioned for me is so crucial as fas as Indian cricket is a concern. These are important because we can learn a lot from it, and when often I hear some people saying

Cricket is all about money

It is all about list

It is all about fixing

It is all about scandals

It is all about glamour

It is all about fame

Hang on guys.

Have you seen the documentary on amazon prime”The test” on Australia’s come back or you only want to see “Inside edge”?

Actually, in this era, I have found we want to see things where we found these things. we do not want to see or think about things from different angles. We are not neutrals.

But Cricket or any game has two sides and its only we who promote these sides we the audiences or spectators.

What we can learn from 1983 Victory?

Hello friends

How are you? I hope everyone is doing good In their lives, I pray to god for your success and your goals.

Cricket in my country is different than the cricket which is playing in the other countries, well in my country I do not know you know it or not it is a religion, but a very different one, it is the only religion in my country which connects people, not divide us, it ha comparison but in the end, we all agree to one thing, Cricket is first. we support different individuals from different casts, we support them without caring about any racism.we all join together for a cricket match and you will be shocked when a Hindu and Muslim or Sikh or Christian forget everything and just cheers

INDIA INDIA INDIA INDIA.

epic

Well today we discuss an event  of cricket

The 1983 world cup

What we can learn from the 1983 world cup

How it changed  not only just Indian Cricket but India too at some extent

“In the end, you will get some really cool facts about the 1983 world cup

So read it fully”

FOR THE FIRST  WE HAVE TO GO INTO THE YEAR OF 1983.it was 1983 world cup, Well the world was ready for this occasion, the mighty Australians were ready, Englishmen were ready, west indies were ready, Pakistan was, BUT INDIA was the only one nation in progressive countries who were planning on other things, no was given us a chance.

Well, the most different and comic thing as Indian cricket team was not giving them a chance, they already had planned to play in a local tournament after the group stage. But it seems like very strange to me because India was not a very bad side at all.

Kapil Dev (c)6 January 1959Right handRight-arm fast-mediumIndia Haryana

As you see above, India was the good side, on any single day they could beat anyone on their own, but the other team were very strong for them, and India was playing one day matches not much at that time, actually west indies were the hot favourite. India last record before the world cup was not so good, Pakistan thrashed them in a series, but

an individual was very determined, very positive, the man on the top of my list. Mr Kapil Dev, Haryana hurricane.yes when you will hear stories from the great Sunil Gavaskar or from any other player he has that desire, the burning desire to win or to do something big for country, He told his teammates, just play according to the potential, do not listen to others, just we will go game by game.

He made a plan, he brought everyone focuses on their role, his team was also very good in response.he told his team, do not go for miracles or heroics, just keep things simple.

In the end, as we all know that simplicity and focus on their abilities won India the first world cup.

What our generation can learn from the Indian victory

Let’s check it out:

NO ONE IS PERFECT

That world cup victory was the biggest upset for the world cricket, but in reality that was not upset, that was the pure example of the execution our process and then let other things happen by themselves, Our main thing in this universe is to keep working on our process, planning our things and try to execute as much as I can. we can not be result-oriented, Results are not completely in our hands If it is the truth then why people say a lot of things like luck.

Even in bible Verse Matthew 5:48 says us

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Its means we should believe that we are perfect because our heavenly father, our creator is perfect,.No human being can say he is perfect on his own.

Same happened there also, West Indies on paper was favourite, A perfect team, Legendary playing 11, but in the end, they lost to India why because as I said no one is perfect.

Wait for your opportunities

We should wait for our opportunities. When Sir Vivian Richards came to the crease on 25th June 1983, He was thrashing Indian bowlers, Especially Madan Lal, He hit 3 boundaries in the Madan all’s over but Madan and Indian cricket team did not lose hope and faith. They were waiting for the right opportunities and were doing their thing. When Kapil dev was thinking to change him, He said that One moreover captain and Kapil also gave him another chance, He gave a short bowl to King Richards, Vivian third a pull shot, The bowl was not so first, Bowl took the top edge of the bat,

Every Indian started to pray, chants more, That one 1 minute was the turning point of the match as they were thinking. It was true. Kapil dev took a very difficult catch running behind from midwicket to square leg, very easily. Sir Vivian Richard got out.

What Kapil’s team did there, they were just trying things and they were waiting for an opportunity, it is truly said,

Bigger things take time.

We should understand this in life, someone wants to become a doctor, engineer or something else. He is different from the masses, he wants to do bigger things in my life, wants to achieve something exceptional, Mate it will take time, it will, how much?/

Well I can not predict that but one thing is for sure, you will have to wait for your opportunity, and then have to grab it.

Fearless approach

As the match started the two openers from India were  Sunil Gavaskar and Krishnamachari Srikanth

Fire and ice you can say, Sunil Gavaskar got out cheaply in final by Roberts, but

Mr Chika had some other ideas his approach was totally different, he attacked, he thrashed big tall west Indian bowlers, scored 38 runs with 7 boundaries before got out in 57 bowls. For these days strike is the key and you can ask me how it is attractive cricket and fearless approach, well in the front of those West Indian bowlers, man it is like 120 strike rate, these days we have only a few bowlers who threaten any cricket team by their names but they were horrific bowlers. Against them that type of batting, He had some guts. by nature, he was totally a chilled out person but in the game, he was destructive especially ion that particular day.so what we can learn from him or from this inning

Do not get afraid by names.sometimes people afraid from a thing from the name or from the things what other says about that thing, it can be an exam interview, a game, a challenge, a debt anything, Boy just kill it go for it, yes you can do that, respect some tough things, try to solve it, seek solutions and nailed it.put your challenge in the coffin.

Basics are the key

When you will see social media these days, you will see no affirmations.no.of videos, no. iof quotes, no. Of, all they say, all they think about entrepreneurship, years, it is nice.it is a very nice approach towards life, but one thing is missing in these days, the things which the old generation was master in it when you will see some of your colleagues in jo9b sector or some of your friends who are experienced than you in age or in life, you will see an important thing in them. The thing they do daily.

It is simplicity. They never ever in their life forget the basics. Yeah, they keep things simple as much as they can. Well I am not saying the creativity is not an important aspect, but here I am just saying even you are creative in your particular field, it doesn’t matter how much you are sharp, you can not underestimate the basic principles of the object or 0of anything whether it relates to your professional life or it relates to your personal life.

Now what is the principal thing which we should follow always whether we are creating something or we are just doing something in daily life

Let us take an example

In Indi, you can’t drive a vehicle on the right side, your steering in-vehicle 8s at the right side. now you are in the showroom to purchase a car, you can not say to the sales manager that please in the upgradation design steering on the left side.

I think you get it.

This is the mistake in this era or our generation.

In 1983

What Kapil dev was all about he never left the basics, yes he did a very strange thing when he gave the ball to Madan all, even Madan Lala was thrashed by sir Vivian Richard for 12 runs in an over, it was strange, but still, he gave over and Vivian got out. but if you will see in youtube the bowling lengths, the field placements and the bowling line especially it was just outside off stump, all Indian seamers bowl them. they never left the basic

Do Not Become an Apathetic Person

When Kapil dev caught the sir Vivian Richard caught in the field, it was at that times was written the catch of the decade.i do not know about the world but that catch was the catch which changes the whole body language of the Indian cricket team and the persons who were watching the game or listening to it on radio or television. It was tough one really. Kapil dev was not apathetic.he was alert.he was a very shy or humble person but on the ground, he played every game like a warrior.

So what we can learn from 1983 world cup is this alertness, these days when we get something, when our business goes well, when plans are going good for us, we overuse that fun thing then. we become too much yeah I am saying too much careless. and then this careless approach makes us very bad worker, business person, or people do not like to work with such type of individuals, who are lazy, not attentive or really do things casually.accountability is a very important part of any work.

So be attentive, be alert in life, any time opportunity will come. what we have to do is grab it.

How it changed  not only just Indian Cricket but India too at an extent

Well, what it changed in Indian cricket is a different story, but it changed in India is a big story for me, a much important topic to discuss or to write, before 1983 world cup cricket was just a game of foreigners for Indian people, it was waste of time, for some extent we can say it was the game played by some bull shit people, sorry but it is true, when I talked to people who were born in that time they said very ugly stuff for cricket.but when India became a world champion yes forget about cricket India was the world champion in a field. can you feel it ?? it’s an honour still when I think about it, what it would be then for the boys who won/? It was an all different feeling. We were world champions.

Aggressiveness and aggression that winning habit came from this world cup, in cricket winning is a habit and then India tasted it on a grand stage, everyone’s attitude towards India was changed, any Indian after that win when was going to see a cricket match, they were saying proudly, I am here for my team. We are champions, now we will not be an underdog in future.

Same goes in a business way, after world cup when a person was going to crack a deal with the foreign company, his head was high why?? Because now the person from another company was talking or dealing with a person who is from India.

Yes and more important thing that victory gave us the self-confidence,

After 1947 when we got our independence, we were building our nature and we were going fine, but that x-factor was missing and the victory became an x-factor. by that victory than, as I am mentioning again and again now the world was aware of the fact who are Indians

And when they were thinking about India

A picture was designed by their mind

Kapil dev lifting the trophy in Lord’s balcony

And then that person’s mind said

CHAMPIONS THE INDIANS

In the business world now the doors were opened for many commercials companies. now they can choose their own countries person for an advertisement, they were not going towards the foreign players, Indians were enough.india was starting to become a brand, a lot of shampoos, conditioners, cars were selling or sold by the companies by the cricketer’s profile,

Hey, my sweetheart, I have bought a new car

You know Kapil dev do advertisement for it

I thought it was going on in our houses for sure, especially between wives and husbands.even husbands were also in trouble, one of my uncles said me a player was chosen by a conditioner company.

Ask SACHIN Tendulkar

Mahendra Singh Dhoni

Rahul Dravid

Vvs Laxman

The whole team of that era or our era was inspired by cricket world cup, Sachin has aided this so many times that 1983 world cup was the only thing which made me play cricket, he took cricket seriously at that time due to this victory, And you know what he did after, it is history.

Conclusion

A BIG THANK YOU

Well, in the end, we have to say the meaning of cricket changed in our country, thanks to the 1983 world cup. Thank you Kapil sir for this. We know about cricket, we are so connected to it, cricket is in our blood, really even guy like me who had never played at international cricket still keeps curiosity to know about what is happening in cricket

All credit goes to you and your team.

SOME COOL FACTS

Kapil dev scored 175 runs in a crunch match against Zimbabwe

He scores 16 fours and 6 sixes, unfortunately, It was not televised by broadcasts because BBC was on strike

When India becomes lata Mangeshkar an Indian singer the legendary one performed in Mumbai and the money generated from that functions were distributed in 15 players. The money was approx around 15 lac INR.

Kapil dev and Sunil Gavaskar were two key players of that era, but at that time their bonding we’re always in doubt. Some sources from media said that Sunil was unhappy about Kapil the captain
